Jiban Services is a multi-vendor platform that may provide or facilitate services across multiple modules, including Lab, Home Service, Hotel, Pharmacy, Bakery, Parcel Delivery, Doctor Booking, Cab Booking & Rental, Ecommerce Shop, Grocery, and Food services.

1. Apps and Users Covered by this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our platform, including customers, drivers, delivery partners, cab partners, vendors, service providers, labs, hotels, pharmacies, bakeries, doctors, grocery stores, restaurants, ecommerce sellers, home service providers, and any person or business using Jiban Services.

Depending on your role and the services you use, the information collected from you may differ. For example, a customer may share delivery address and booking details, a driver may share vehicle and live location details, and a vendor may share business, catalogue, payout, and order management information.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information: We may collect your name, mobile number, email address, profile photo, gender, age, saved addresses, billing details, and other account information needed to create and manage your account.

Order, Booking, and Service Information: We collect information related to orders, bookings, trips, deliveries, prescriptions, lab tests, doctor appointments, hotel bookings, home service requests, grocery orders, food orders, bakery orders, parcel details, cab rides, rental bookings, ecommerce purchases, cancellations, refunds, ratings, reviews, and support requests.

Health and Medical Service Information: For Lab, Doctor Booking, and Pharmacy modules, we may collect information such as patient name, age, gender, prescription details, test details, sample collection address, lab reports, appointment details, symptoms or notes shared by you, and related medical or health information only for providing the requested service.

Vendor and Business Information: For vendors and service providers, we may collect business name, owner/contact details, business address, service area, catalogue/menu/product details, licenses, registration documents, tax details, bank or payout details, store availability, order status, and operational information.

Driver and Delivery Partner Information: For drivers, delivery partners, and cab partners, we may collect name, phone number, profile photo, vehicle details, driving license, identity/KYC documents, service availability, trip or delivery status, location data, payout details, and performance or safety-related records.

Payment Information: We may collect transaction details such as order amount, payment status, refund details, wallet balance, payout details, invoice details, and payment reference IDs. Card, UPI, net banking, or other payment credentials are processed by authorized payment partners and are not stored by us unless specifically permitted under applicable law and payment partner rules.

Location Data: We collect location information to show nearby vendors and services, confirm service coverage, select addresses, process deliveries, support cab booking and rental services, assign orders, calculate distance and ETA, verify service completion, and enable live tracking.

Device and Usage Data: We may collect device model, operating system, IP address, app version, browser type, crash logs, diagnostic data, pages or screens visited, clicks, search activity, session information, and interaction logs to improve performance, security, fraud prevention, and user experience.

Communication Data: We may collect information shared through customer support, calls, chats, emails, in-app messages, notifications, complaints, feedback, and dispute resolution channels.

Analytics: We may use analytics and performance tools, including services such as Google Analytics or similar tools, to understand usage patterns, detect technical issues, and improve our services.

3. Location Data and Background Location Disclosure

The Jiban User App may collect location data while you are using the app to help you search nearby services, select delivery or pickup addresses, book cab or rental services, track orders, track parcels, and receive service updates.

The Jiban Driver App may collect precise location data while the app is in use and, during active duty, active delivery, active cab ride, active parcel pickup/drop, or active service assignment, may collect location data in the background even when the app is closed or not in use. This is required to enable live order tracking, cab tracking, delivery tracking, route updates, driver availability, ETA calculation, safety support, and service completion verification.

The Jiban Vendor App may use business location, pickup location, store/service area, and operational location information to show vendor availability, manage orders, support delivery pickup, and provide accurate service coverage to customers.

Location data may be shared with customers, vendors, drivers, delivery partners, cab partners, service providers, and Jiban Services operations or support teams only when required to provide, track, manage, or verify a service. Location data is not sold and is not used for advertising purposes.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To create, verify, and manage user, driver, and vendor accounts
  • To process orders, bookings, deliveries, rides, rentals, and service requests
  • To provide Lab, Home Service, Hotel, Pharmacy, Bakery, Parcel Delivery, Doctor Booking, Cab Booking & Rental, Ecommerce Shop, Grocery, and Food services
  • To assign drivers, delivery partners, vendors, doctors, labs, or service providers
  • To provide live tracking, ETA updates, address selection, route support, and service coverage checks
  • To process payments, refunds, invoices, commissions, settlements, and vendor or driver payouts
  • To send OTPs, booking confirmations, order updates, delivery updates, service alerts, support messages, and important notices
  • To manage ratings, reviews, complaints, disputes, cancellations, returns, refunds, and customer support
  • To prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, payment abuse, safety incidents, and policy violations
  • To improve platform features, performance, personalization, security, analytics, and user experience
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, safety, and law enforcement requirements

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. However, we may share information when necessary to provide or manage services on the Jiban platform.

Your information may be shared with vendors, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, labs, doctors, hotels, ecommerce sellers, home service providers, drivers, delivery partners, cab partners, payment gateways, logistics partners, technology service providers, analytics providers, customer support teams, auditors, legal advisors, government authorities, or law enforcement agencies where required for service delivery, platform operations, dispute resolution, safety, legal compliance, or fraud prevention.

For example, your delivery address may be shared with a vendor and delivery partner, your cab pickup/drop location may be shared with a driver, your prescription may be shared with a pharmacy for order verification, and your lab booking details may be shared with the selected lab or sample collection partner.

Some services may require sensitive information such as health details, prescriptions, lab reports, identity documents, driver documents, business licenses, bank details, tax details, or location data. We use such information only for the purpose for which it is collected, such as booking a medical service, verifying a vendor or driver, completing payments or payouts, fulfilling legal obligations, preventing fraud, or providing support.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain account records, complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal and tax obligations, and enforce our terms and policies. When data is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely archive it as permitted by applicable law.

If you deny certain permissions, some services may not work properly. For example, denying location permission may affect cab booking, delivery tracking, nearby vendor search, parcel tracking, or driver availability features.

  • Location: To find nearby services, support deliveries, cab booking, parcel tracking, driver tracking, and service coverage.
  • Camera and Photos: To upload prescriptions, invoices, product images, business documents, profile photos, delivery proof, or service-related images.
  • Notifications: To send order updates, booking alerts, OTPs, delivery updates, trip updates, payment updates, and service messages.
  • Phone and SMS/OTP: To verify your mobile number, support login, and contact you for service-related communication where permitted.
  • Microphone: To support calling, communication, or support features if enabled in the app.
  • Storage/Documents: To upload or download documents, reports, prescriptions, invoices, or service proofs where required.

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, secure servers, monitoring, and internal data handling controls. However, no digital platform, internet transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Jiban Services is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.
